Lifelong Learning at Buena Vida Estates

Life at Buena Vida Estates is full of opportunities to learn and grow. Each day, there are new opportunities and experiences that give our residents a chance to have fun, dynamic experiences. Free lectures and seminars are filled with exciting content to help our residents to live the good life to the fullest and enjoy every moment.

This month we are excited to feature a diverse group of lectures – there’s something for everyone! If you feel like you need a refresh on the rules of the road, our monthly Safe Driving Course, offered in partnership with AARP, is a great way to brush up on road safety. It will be held Thursday, June 7th from 8:30am-4pm.

Guest lecturerSchool may be out for the summer, but there are lectures classes you will love. This month Rick Rakauskas will be teaching a lecture on American History with the theme of “Reconstruction”. The Free lecture is open to the public and will be held on June 16th. In addition, another lecture to take note of will be held on June 30th and features the History of Music.

We’re passionate about lifelong learning here at Buena Vida. This month’s lifelong learning lecture, presented by Dr. John Windsor, will feature the Indian River Lagoon Restoration Project. Dr. Windsor is an Ocean Engineering and science professor at Florida Institute of Technology.

Another seminar offered in June is specifically to combat Parkinson’s disease. This seminar features the “Rock Steady” physical therapy program that will give participants the power to reduce Parkinson’s symptoms. This seminar will be held on June 12th at 2pm and is hosted by Physical Therapist Janice Moia.

Whether you’re looking to learn, grow, or just have a good time, there is an event at Buena Vida for everyone. Family and friends of Buena Vida residents are welcome to attend free seminars and lectures as well – come see what all the excitement is about! Our commitment to creating a continuing care retirement community for our residents means that each day is filled with opportunities for fostering new knowledge and creating lifelong memories.
